In this video I show you how to transcribe your interview using a writing software (such as Microsoft Word) and a music player. You can compare this method with using an automated transcription software such as Happy Scribe and choose which way would work best for you.

This video demonstrates how you can use Happy Scribe for your Listening Project. Happy Scribe is a transcription app that could help you save time in transcribing your interview. It generates an automatic transcription of an audio file that you upload, which you can then use as a basis for your final transcription. Their editing platform lets you sync the words you type with the audio recording. You will still have to do a lot of editing to make sure that the final transcription is 100% accurate, but Happy Scribe will transcribe 30 minutes for free, so you might as well give it a try.
